Terrence Howard can breathe a temporary sigh of relief after an L.A. Superior Court threw out his spousal support agreement with ex-wife, Michelle Ghent.

Howard and his lawyers had argued that the actor signed the agreement ordering him to pay Ghent $5,800 a month under duress.

Ghent allegedly blackmailed her ex-husband by threatening to leak a sex tape and nude photos if he didn't agree.

According to TMZ, Ghent claims Howard owes her $508,000. A huge chunk of that is from his earnings from the television show Empire. An additional $100,000 is for back-spousal support.

Under their original agreement, Ghent was supposed to receive 21% extra if Howard earned over $62,500 a quarter. He was paid $125,000 per episode for season one of Empire.

Ghent also accused Howard of domestic abuse. The judge in the case admonished both parties. "Terrence is a bully, but that doesn't mean he can't be bullied."

TMZ reports that the two will now head back to family law court to work out a new agreement.
