Rhymefest says his days working with Kanye West are over.
On Friday, February 12, the rapper, real name Che Smith, took to Twitter to let his fans know about his decision.
"My brother needs help, in the form of counseling. Spiritual & mental. He should step away from the public & yesmen & heal," the 38-year old Chicago native wrote. "His mind and spirit isn't right."
Rhymefest and West's working relationship goes back to the beginning of the G.O.O.D. Music CEO's career.
Rhyme is credited with co-writing the songs "Jesus Walks," "Gorgeous," "New Slaves," "On Sight," and "Hold My Liquor."
Unfortunately, at least for the foreseeable future, we won't be seeing the two collaborate any more.

We'd really like to know more of the backstory here. I'm sure at some point we will.
