With help from fellow artists like Rihanna, Madonna, Kanye West, Beyonce, Arcade Fire, Calvin Harris and Daft Punk, Jay Z has launched his $56 million streaming service, TIDAL.
The company will be in direct competition with established services Spotify and Beats.
TIDAL will offer higher resolution music files and will charge more for it. For $19.99 a month music fans can gain access to TIDAL.
Artists are showing their support for Jay's new venture by changing their social media avatars blue and using the hashtag #TIDALForAll.
As we previously reported, Jay acquired Swedish streaming company Aspiro, which runs both Tidal and WiMP earlier this month.
