President Obama has picked up a strong endorsement from a key figure in the hip hop community regarding his stance on gay marriage. Obama recently endorsed the idea that same sex marriages should be allowed and Jay-Z agrees with him.
"I've always thought it as something that's still holding the country back," Jay-Z told CNN Monday. "What people do in their own homes is their business. You can choose to love whoever you love. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple."
When asked if he felt like Obama's stance would cost him voters, Hov said that shouldn't matter.
"I think it's the right thing to do. It's really not about votes, this is about people. So whether it costs him votes or not I think it's the right thing to do as a human being," Jay-Z said.
