Birdman's laywers probably aren't getting much sleep these days as the lawsuits keep piling up. The latest suit has been filed by Jas Prince.
Jas is the man responsible for getting Drake signed to Young Money after discovering him. He's filed 2 lawsuits against Cash Money Records. The first one has to do with a deal he negotiated that would net him part of Drake's profits. AllHipHop reported in November that Jas claims he has been paid $1 million, but is owed an additional $4 million.
While that suit is still ongoing, Jas is now taking additional legal steps against Cash Money, owned by Ronald "Slim" Williams and his younger brother Bryan "Birdman" Williams.
TMZ reports that new legal documents have been filed by Jas asking for a full accounting of the money generated by Drake for the label. The sum is estimated to be around $40 million.
Just last week Jas' father, James Prince, CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records released audio telling Birdman he better do right by his son.
This could turn into a long court battle.
