With the New Year already in effect, James Worthy shows no signs of slowing down with his latest venture on the way entitled, “Blu Leisure”.
“Its exciting to hear your records being played on the radio”, says James Worthy but explains that downloads and streaming is his main focus for this upcoming project.
The mood of the project will determine if it will be an E.P. (extended play) or an album. The release of his new single "Blu Sunsets" is to be expected in April of 2018 coming off of his last hit single "Wine For Me" which debuted at #10 on Billboard. With the completed project releasing later in the year Mr. Worthy clarifies the projects mood by stating, “I’m doing the music that I want to make versus what the masses want me to make which just feels good”. The upcoming project will provide listeners with a true awareness of the type of artist James Worthy represents. The project dabbles with all sorts of interesting sonic elements and lyrical themes, allowing each song to have a distinct life of its own, but together allowing Mr. Worthy to boldly solidify his artistry. The collective use of unique baselines, non-repetitive 808’s drum patterns, along with other smooth instruments can be expected when listening to Blu Leisure. To get a better impression of the sound, James Worthy associates the texture of the project to past compositions by Frank Ocean and Kanye West, difference being solely driven by melody.
What’s refreshing about James, and this game changing project is that, it’s made with so much passion, attention to detail, & the repetitive energy put into every note which proves to the world the essence of what makes him a genuinely talented songwriter. There is no doubt that music is what he knows, and he’s refined a new flavor for making hits. Blu Leisure is defiantly an anticipated project that music lovers everywhere will be inspired by for generations to come.
