The label that Kendrick Lamar calls home was completely caught off guard by the release of his new album, To Pimp a Butterfly.
Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, the CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment, reacted angrily Sunday, March 15, upon learning the project was on iTunes a full week of it's scheduled March 23rd release date. Tiffith took to his Twitter account to vent at Interscope Records.
"I WOULD LIKE 2 PERSONALLY THANK @Interscope FOR FUCKING UP OUR RELEASE," he wrote. "SOMEBODY GOTS 2 PAY 4 THIS MISTAKE !!!"
Just a few hours earlier Tiffith was hyping fans up for the date he had set for the album to drop via Top Dawg Entertainment/Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope Records.
Tiffith seemed to have calmed down a bit later while concentrating on promoting the album. But behind the scenes you can bet he's reading somebody over at Interscope the riot act.
