Video After The Jump
An Anchorage, Alaska reporter took a stance for what she believes is right live on air Sunday, September 21, leaving her fellow anchor in a state of shock.
KTVA-TV's Charlo Greene admitted she was the owner of a cannabis club.
“I. the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska," Charlo said. “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice, but fuck it. I quit.”
And with that Charlo exited. Her fellow anchor apologized to the viewing audience and tried to gather herself, albeit unsuccessfully, before continuing the broadcast.
The station's News Director, Bert Rudman, quickly posted that Greene had been fired on KTVA's Facebook page. The post drew some hilarious responses considering she had already quit.
Greene has since posted a video entitled "Why I Quit," speaking out on why she walked away from her job.
