Audio After The Jump Gucci Mane spoke to MTV News from jail on Wednesday and, despite his location, was in good spirits and excited about the release of his new LP, The State vs. Radric Davis. The album made it into the Billboard top 10, and Gucc wanted to thank all the fans for their support and also apologize for not being on the outside to perform for them. Gucci also revealed that he already has his next album done and as soon as his jail term is over, he's going to work on yet another LP. Both projects are slated for 2010.
"I got an album coming out April 2010," Gucci said. "It's called The State vs. Radric Davis: The Appeal," he said. "Seventeen tracks. It's already recorded, getting mixed and mastered as we speak. I'm dropping a trilogy with The State vs. Radric Davis. When I get out, I'll be working on the third part to the trilogy. The final [will be called] The State vs. Radric Davis: The Verdict. That'll be [in stores] December of 2010." Gucci Mane was sentenced to 12 months in jail for a probation violation last month. Gucci's lawyer Dwight L. Thomas told MTV News he's hoping his client will be a free man sometime in the top of the year. Meanwhile, his current LP is continuing its run, and his record company Asylum just released the video for "Heavy." Gucci also said Young Jeezy recorded a verse for the remix of the track. "We already recorded two songs," Gucci said of his freshly squashed beef with Jeezy. "One song was the 'Trap or Die 2' remix — I jumped on there for him and he did a verse for my song 'Heavy' with Shawty Redd on the beat. We just haven't released it yet."
