Every artist reaches that moment when they know it’s time to grow and for Huncho Markk, that time is now. Formerly known as UTMR PlugHunxho, the Riverdale native has stepped into a new era. New name, new focus, and a fresh team behind him. He’s now under the management of Dillon Cash at Swaggertown Records / Colossal Records, and the energy is different.
Born Marquavious Bohannon on July 21, 2003, in Atlanta, Huncho’s been surrounded by music since day one. His parents played nothing but soulful R&B, real music with meaning. That early influence stuck with him, and as he got older, Huncho started to relate to the sounds of Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Future—artists who blended melody, bars, and emotion.
In 2021, he made his first move into music with “Pain In My Cup.” It wasn’t just a song, it was a release. Fans connected to the emotion behind the lyrics, and the feedback pushed him to keep creating. That track sparked everything.
2024 brought a lot of firsts. Huncho hit the stage for the first time at a local charity event, performing “Blessing Me” alongside Dvybez. Then on October 4, he dropped his debut mixtape “Humble Youngin.” It was his way of letting people in, showing who he is beyond the name, the posts, and the beats.
Changing his artist name to Huncho Markk wasn’t just a switch, it was a statement. He’s more focused, more grounded, and more ready than ever. He’s not trying to fit into a box. He’s building something real, something lasting.
The goal is simple: make music that connects, move crowds, and create moments that stick. Huncho doesn’t need to say much on stage if the crowd’s already rapping the words. That’s what he’s chasing.
From the Southside to the spotlight, Huncho Markk is putting in the work and the world’s about to see why.
