During a recent press conference for his upcoming title fight with Miguel Cotto that will take place May 5th in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was asked who the best boxer of all time was.
"Ali was the greatest, Floyd Mayweather is the best ever," Floyd said. "When you're rating a guy on pound-for-pound you got to rate him on the opponents he have beat. Because when I faced Oscar De La Hoya... he's in his 30's, I'm in my 30's. When I faced Shane Mosely... he's in his 30's, I'm in my 30's. When I face Cotto... he's in his 30's, I'm in 30's. And when I faced Diego Corrales, may he rest in peace...he was in his 20's, I was in my 20's. Same with Zab Judah. When he was in his 20's, I was in my 20's. So the only thing I wanna do is go out there and continue to please the boxing fans. And non boxing fans."
Do you agree with Floyd that he is the best boxer ever? Or does Ali deserve that distinction?
