Flavor Flav opened up about Public Enemy being at their height when gangsta rap was bubbling on the scene, and he explained that gangsta rap took over when Public Enemy took a break from music. Flav stated that Public Enemy was one of the only groups with a real message about problems in the world and how to solve them. He added that no one was able to carry on the message at a level that Public Enemy did.
