The Nicholas Naquan Jr. Memorial Foundation, Andre Heyward, Director of Fundraising, today announced the Foundation will host “Our Children’s Keepers Benefit Concert” on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Wild Bill’s - 2075 Market Street, Duluth, Ga 30096. Cost is $10 for adults and all children under 12 free and children 13 and up are $5. Proceeds will be used to start a youth independent living facility for youth “aging out” (between the ages of 17-24) of the foster care system. Our facility will house the youth; while operating several programs (mentoring, GED, life management, substance abuse, and anger management groups, etc.) right there in the facility for the convenience of the residents.
The event will feature Nicholas Heyward Sr. (Executive Director of NNHJMF), James Cooper (of Fedup 4U, Anti-Bullying Campaign), Bobby Frasier (Renowned Motivational Speaker), and 5 local artists: Real Righteous, T. Brown, Big Swiff, Tropicana, and Emdubai, as well as, food, beverages, carnival games, and bouncers. The Nicholas Naquan Heyward Jr. Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to providing youth mentoring and developmental programs aimed at creating strong bonds between youth and positive role models in the community.
