Eminem found a way to give back to the 2017 graduating class of Flint Community Schools. Slim came up with the idea to gift 230 students with Beats By Dre headphones through his Marshall Mathers Foundation, according to MLive.
The multi-platinum-selling Detroit recording artist surprised the students on Tuesday, June 6, when they saw his face being projected on four screens overhead.
"What's up Class of 2017? This is Eminem. I just want to say congratulations to the graduating seniors of Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy," blared the rapper's voice. "Congrats to all your guys' hard work, man. You earned this moment."
"I thought he was just going to give his speech on the speaker and it just was going to be that," said 18-year old Flint Northwestern senior Betty Davis. "I greatly appreciate Eminem for giving out like he did. He didn't have to and the fact that he can see so much potential in Flint and Flint students, it just makes the gift so much more worth keeping."
Salute to Eminem for making these young adult's big day even better.
