The strange story of Marion Barry's life is coming to a tv screen near you very soon.
According to Deadline, Spike Lee will direct the movie which is being written by John Ridley for HBO Films. The movie will chronicle Barry's tenure as mayor of Washington D.C. Barry served two terms from 1979-91 and 1995-99. His fall from grace was well documented when he was caught on camera smoking crack in a hotel room with a female friend.
When feds busted him Barry famously said, "b*tch set me up!"
He served six months in federal prison on drug charges stemming from the video.
