Miami Heat basketball star Dwayne Wade has a newborn child, but it's not with his fiancee Gabrielle Union. The baby boy was born one month ago, according to the Sun Sentinal.
Wade held a press conference Monday (December 30) to talk about his third child. He said the pregnancy occurred during a break in his relationship with Union, who he has been dating since 2009.
"I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy. So I'm moving on. I'm in the public eye, so obviously that's a part of it. It comes with the territory. I've always tried to show my importance in my kids' lives and it doesn't change now. So, I, my lady and my family have continued to move forward, and I think that's evident with the ring and the proposal that I gave her, with our lives."
The NBA All-Star proposed to Union on December 21. He sealed the deal with a $1 million, 8.5 carat cushion cut diamond ring from Jason of Beverly Hills. The couple will get married in September 2014.
The 31-year old has two more sons, Zaire and Zion, from ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. He has primary custody of both of them.

TMZ has obtained the birth certificate (above) of Wade's newborn baby and a photo of the child's mother.
Xavier Zechariah Wade was born was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 10, 2013 to 30-year-old Aja Metoyer.
Aja also has a child with Damon Wayans Jr.
TMZ claims to have proof that when the child was conceived, Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union were not on a break from each other like Wade said in yesterday's press conference.
The website has dug up Instagram photos and tweets from Union during the time the two were supposedly split up.
"Sasha don't play when it comes to her man... 'Down to ride 'til the very end, it's me and my boyfriend,'" reads the caption on a photo Union posted of Wade and her dog Sasha.
