Who deserved 2014's Grammy Award for Best Rap Album will be debated for a while, but we do know that the winner thought the trophy should have gone to someone else.

Macklemore's "The Heist" won over Drake's "Nothing Was The Same," Jay Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail," Kanye West's "Yeezus," and Kendrick Lamar's "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City."

The Seattle rapper sent a text message to Kendrick after the show admitting he thought K. Dot deserved the award. Macklemore went as far as to post the message on his Instagram account.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Drake talked about the text. He didn't think it was really sincere.

"That shit was wack as fuck. I was like, 'You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn't deserve it, go get better — make better music.' It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won? This is how the world works: He made a brand of music that appealed to more people than me, Hov, Kanye and Kendrick. Whether people wanna say it's racial, or whether it's just the fact that he tapped into something we can't tap into. That's just how the cards fall. Own your shit."

What do you think about what Drake's comments? Was Macklemore keeping it 100 or just putting on a show for the fans who didn't think he deserved the honor?
