During a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday, August 9, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Second Amendment supporters may be able to figure out a way to stop Hillary Clinton from picking federal judges as president.
"Hillary wants to essentially abolish the Second Amendment," Trump said. "By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is -- I don't know. But I'll tell you what: that will be a horrible day."
Many people interpreted Trump's statement as a call for violence against Clinton.
