FULTON COUNTY, Ga. (Fox5) - The jury for Young Slime Life (YSL) was dismissed Monday morning because of a "medical issue" connected with one of the "participants" in the trial.
The judge told the jury they are expected to return at 9 a.m. Tuesday and he will let them know at that time if they are able to continue.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, defendant Shannon Stillwell was stabbed multiple times on the evening of Dec. 10. He was reportedly stabbed by another inmate named Willie Brown.
Stillwell, also known as Shannon Jackson & "SB," is 1 of 5 defendants charged with murder & attempted murder in connection with the death of Donovan Thomas Jr. in 2015. Thomas, 26, was shot & killed at a barbershop in Castleberry Hill. 2 other victims - 1 a 14-year-old boy - were also shot. Prosecutors say Thomas was a major figure in a rival gang & whose death is said to have sparked an escalation in violence. Young Thug is accused of renting the car used in the drive-by shooting.
Stillwell is "stable," according to the sheriff's office. It was unknown what led to the fight, according to the sheriff's office. Stillwell & Brown were housed in the same zone at the jail.
Brown was initially arrested on July 2020 on several charges, including aggravated assault, murder & cruelty to children & is being held without bond.
Stillwell has been charged with violating Georgia's (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act, murder, participation in a criminal street gang & gun charges.
