Mississippi rapper/producer David Banner doesn't have any kids yet, but when he does he plans on being a responsible parent.
The 41-year old, real name Lavell Crump, chopped it up with DJ Smallz about the importance he places on being a good father. And why he'll put his kids before his career.
"I remember hearing a story...I don't know how true it is. But I heard Andre 3000 drove all the way from Atlanta to Dallas to pick up his son. And make sure he was there on the first day of school. That's what I wanna be. That's the kind of parent I wanna be," David said. "And if I would have had kids I couldn't be this David Banner I am now. My kids gon' come first, fuck some music."
