Conor McGregor should be back in the octagon very soon if everything goes according to plan.
UFC head honcho Dana White has refused to speculate on the Irish fighter's future with the company until his legal hurdles were crossed, and it's looking like they have been.
McGregor got into trouble in April when he hurled a dolly through a bus window in New York City, injuring several UFC fighters. He was targeting rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was not hurt.
Mystic Mac was charged with one count of felony criminal mischief and 3 counts of misdemeanor assault.
TMZ is now reporting that according to sources close to the case, a plea deal is being worked out with prosecutors.
The deal will reduce the felony to a misdemeanor. That's a huge break for McGregor because had he been convicted he could have faced up to seven years in prison and been deported from the U.S.
He'll likely only have to serve probation.
McGregor's next court date is Thursday, July 26, in Manhattan.
