The staff at Def Jam Records came up with a unique concept for Common's forthcoming Nobody Smiling album cover. They presented the idea to Common of doing several different covers featuring photos of Chicago rappers like Lil Herb, G Count, Dreezy, King Louie and others against a black backdrop.
