Chris Brown's affiliation with Compton's Fruit Street Piru gang has those closest to him very concerned.
Brown is not an actual Piru member, but they are reportedly OK with him throwing up Blood gang signs and representing them because he shows them love. He has given back to the Compton community by donating thousands of pairs of shoes to local kids, comes through to hang out, has hired gang members and shot a music video in the city.
TMZ reports that the singer's mom, Joyce Hawkins, and girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, are so concerned about Chris' infatuation with gang culture they've contacted his therapist for help in convincing him to stop. They fear that both his life and career could be in danger.
