Chris Brown is firing back in his legal battle with Frank Ocean's cousin, Sha'Keir Duarte.
Brown and Ocean got into a fight in January outside of a West Hollywood recording studio. Duarte claimed he was kicked and beaten by one of Brown's bodyguards. He filed a suit against Chris in August, asking for $2 million.
TMZ reports that Brown has now filed a countersuit. Chris claims in the suit that Duarte punched and kicked him. Brown says he tried to avoid fighting "the aggressive and hostile Mr. Duarte."
The singer claims Ocean's cousin asking for $2 million is nothing more than a shakedown attempt.
