Chief Keef was booted from his Highland Park, Illinois home earlier today. The rapper had run into issues keeping up with his rent. At one point he fell $30,000 behind. When he appeared in court on May 7th, an order for forcible entry and detainer was filed, starting the eviction process.

Keef, real name Keith Cozart, finally reached an agreement to pay off his debt, but by then it was too late to prevent him from being kicked out.

Dr. Bal K. Bansal denied Keef was being evicted, telling the Chicago Tribune the rapper was a good tenant and a nice guy.

"This is mutual," Bansal said. "It is not an eviction."

Despite Bansal's denials, police confirmed Keef was being forced to leave. The "I Don't Like" hit maker's neighbors were thrilled to see him go.

"We're very happy to have them leave and we're doing nothing to impede their exit. We just want them to leave as quickly as possible," said neighbor Ken Cooper. "We had to call the police for a fight. There was a gunshot. I would say [the police were called] several times a week."
