Fans have been wanting to see Cassidy step back into the battle rap game for quite a while, but he's resisted the idea because he didn't feel promoters were offering enough money.
The Philadelphia emcee turned down a $40,000 offer from one organization and $100,000 from Total Slaughter.
The right offer has now come through. In December Cass will take home $250,000 to battle Dizaster at FilmOn/Fresh Coast's "Ether" event.

— DA HUSTLA (@CASSIDY_LARSINY) July 29, 2014It's the biggest rap payday for one emcee to date. Cass told Vlad TV that $200,000 of the fee was paid up front. As far as battling Dizaster, Cass said that was the promoter's decision.
"I ain't decide to battle Dizaster. I ain't got no picks," Cass told DJ Vlad. "A lot of ignorant people commenting on the social media. That's why I ain't even started tweeting until this video go out so they could see what it is. The reason why I accepted this is because the chicken was right. They gave me crazy chicken. More money than anybody made off battling. What I feel as though I deserve. I ain't got no picks, whoever y'all wanna pick, I don't give a fuck. I'm not trying to find the easy win or a hard win. Whoever y'all got in mind that you wanna bring up it's gonna be the same result. I guess the nigga's that was putting it together got a relationship with Dizaster, so they picked him."
Some people may think Dizaster is going to be an easy win for Cassidy, but when he's on his "A" game Diz is a problem for any opponent. He recently spoke with 15MofeRadio about the event.
“I have enough time [to prepare],” Diz said. “I’m definitely gonna be extremely versatile. I’m definitely the right guy to battle Cass because I’m gonna bring so many different styles and elements into this. I’m just gonna make it an extreme classic. People are gonna be proud of what I’m gonna do. I think everybody should really support me because Cass really, legitimately thinks this shit is funny and that he’s just better than everybody and that he’s above battling. I don’t know how much he really thinks that himself but it seems that that’s what he’s [saying].”
