British authorities are turning up the heat in a search for the person that beheaded American journalist James Foley.
In a gruesome video posted online earlier this week Foley's murderer spoke and was determined to have a British accent.
According to The Telegraph, U.K. authorities have zeroed in on three British jihadists as possible suspects. Razul Islam, Aine Davis and Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary. All three are believed to have converted to Islam and gone to Syria to wage jihad, fight for ISIS (ISIL). They are part of a British cell of terrorists known as "The Beatles."
Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary
Bary was a former rapper from West London who went by the stage name L. Jinny. His build, accent and skin tone are similar to the person who killed Foley. He went to Syria in 2013. He later tweeted a photo holding a severed head.
Davis, 30, from Hammersmith, West London, is a former drug dealer and gang member. Islam is the brother of Shajul Islam, who was arrested for the kidnapping of British journalist, John Cantlie. Shajul was put on trial in 2012, but escaped conviction when Cantlie was unable to provide key evidence.
Aine Davis
Foley was kidnapped in Syria in 2012. His murder by ISIS was said to be in retaliation for recent U.S. air strikes against them in Iraq.
