BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Just days after knocking out Leo Santa Cruz in San Antonio, Texas, WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis was involved a car crash that involved multiple vehicles.
Baltimore crash detectives are trying to determine what happened overnight at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and MLK Boulevard.
Pictures of the vehicles involved in the crash provided to us by sources show a black Lamborghini that, sources tell Crime & Justice Reporter Joy Lepola, Davis was in.
Sources say the driver bailed out of the vehicle after striking several cars. We've asked if Baltimore City Police had assigned a detail to Davis. We have not received a response.
The release issued by the Baltimore Police Department stated, "At approximately 1:53 a.m., Southern District officers were dispatched to the intersection of Washington Blvd and Martin Luther King Blvd to investigate a collision involving multiple vehicles."
The BPD says, "Preliminary information revealed that a vehicle traveled through a red light and struck another vehicle. A witness informed officers that the driver of the striking vehicle left the scene of the incident."
Police say several people suffered minor injuries. One person was taken to the hospital.
