Video After The Jump

There was once a time when Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel couldn't have been in the same building together, much less sitting next to each other talking like gentlemen, but those days are long gone.

The two MC's put their beef to bed years ago. Yesterday they were able to talk about it on MTV's RapFix.

Beans said at the time he felt he had to step up to the plate because he felt there were subliminal shots being thrown at other artists on the Roc-A-Fella label, so he took the challenge even though he was fairly new to the game.

"I aint gonna lie I think that was one of the best things to happen to me and my career because it separated me from being just a Roc-A-Fella artist. It gave me my own name," Beans said.

Jadakiss said that when the beef started it came as a shock to him. He even recalled one line Beanie spit that made him get rid of one of his cars.

"My first car was a 430 AMG Benz and on his first single he said 'You got the 430, small wheels,'" 'Kiss remembered of the lyric from Beanie's "Mack Bitch," "He probably didn't mean it for me, but I was like, 'I gotta get rid of this little car, jump into something bigger.'"

They both agreed the beef probably ended in a draw,

"I think it was therapeutic for hip-hop," 'Kiss said.
