It's been almost ten years since Cypress Hill released an album with all of their original members. 2010's Rise Up had very little production from DJ Muggs, who has handled the bulk of the group's music over their career.

Muggs is back on board for the forthcoming not-yet-titled album. The group is looking at a summer 2014 release.

“I didn’t do much on the last Cypress album,” Muggs recently told Vibe. “What I want from the group—and I know what the people want—is just that sound that drew you into Cypress the first three or four albums. What we are doing is making a dark record that’s really avant-garde. We are not even tripping on who is going to play it or what blog is going to get behind it. We have never given a fuck. We are just going to make a real dark Cypress Hill record.”
