Chris Brown's Australian fans probably won't get to see the superstar perform in their country because immigration officials want to keep him out because of his 2009 Rihanna assault.
"People need to understand if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you, 'You cannot come in because you are not of the character we expect in Australia," immigration officials said in a statement.
The singer has three December dates booked for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Those shows are up in the air while local officials decide whether to accept or reject Chris' visa application.
The activist group Getup! has started a petition calling for Immigration Minister Peter Dutton to deny Chris' entry into the country.
"I'm clearly not going to preempt a decision by the minister, however I can assure you what my strong recommendation would be," Australian Minister for Women, Michaelia Cash said Thursday.
He's already been turned down in Britain, Canada and New Zealand, according to TMZ.
