With just 4 days until his DJ Drama assisted mixtape, The Product 2/Gangsta Grillz, drops for free download, August Alsina previews another track from the project, this time teaming up with fellow Downtown NOLA native Kidd Kidd on the track “Downtown”. Produced by Knucklehead & Carlos Cahee, “Downtown” is a personal track that finds August reflecting on the loss of his brother who was gunned down in New Orleans back in 2010, a scene all to familiar for Kidd, who in June 2011 was shot 6 times, and lived to rap about it, “Shot 6 times right in front of my mom...man I’m lucky to survive, on that Pac juice, real n*ggas don’t die!”
