Gucci Mane is being sued by a Little Rock, Arkansas promoter for allegedly pulling a stunt that left them shortchanged because of an abbreviated show.
Empire Entertainment paid the 1017 Brick Squad boss $22,500 to perform on November 22. The only problem is Gucci had also booked a show in Tennessee for the same night.
Empire learned about the other show and asked Gucci's reps about it, but were told no other show existed, which was untrue.
Gucci showed up in Little Rock and only performed 3 songs for a total of 15 minutes of stage time.before cutting the show short. He then drove 138 miles to perform at the other club. After finishing the Tennessee show, Gucci drove back to Little Rock and spent the night at the hotel Empire provided for him, according to TMZ.
Empire is suing Gucci, real name Radric Davis, for breach of contract and fraud. They claim the rapper killed their ticket sales by pulling the stunt. They want to be reimbursed for the $22,500 Gucci was paid. In addition, they're seeking the cost of the promotion, travel and hotel expenses.
