Lloyd Banks has departed G-Unit Records, according to 50 Cent. The G-Unit boss made the announcement via his Instagram account Tuesday, June 12.
"Check out my boy Lloyd Bank$ new mixtape coming soon!" 50 wrote. "Independence Day. He is doing his own thing and you know it's gonna be loaded with bars. (Check him out now). PLK, get the strap."
If this is true it marks the end of an era. Banks was one of the original members of G-Unit, along with 50 and Tony Yayo.
