Report via Fox5Atlanta -- Rapper 21 Savage has been released from detention on bond pending a deportation hearing, his lawyers said.

The rapper's lawyers, Alex Spiro, Charles H. Kuck and Dina LaPolt, said he "won his freedom."

"21 Savage asked us to send a special message to his fans and supporters—he says that while he wasn’t present at the Grammy Awards, he was there in spirit and is grateful for the support from around the world and is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together," 21 Savage's lawyers aid in a statement.

The lawyers said that 21 Savage, whose real name is Sha Yea Bin Abraham-Joseph, would not forget the ordeal or the other people he was locked up with who "remain unjustly incarcerated accross the country."

Abraham-Joseph was arrested Super Bowl Sunday for violating immigration law. ICE says Abraham-Joseph is unlawfully present in the U.S. and also a convicted felon.

According to ICE, the rapper entered the U.S. legally in July 2005 but failed to depart and became unlawfully present when his Visa expired in 2006.

His release comes hours after a group of 10 civil rights organizations is delivered a petition with more than 445,000 signatures demanding the release of rapper 21 Savage by ICE on Tuesday.

The organizations, which include Color of Change, Black Lives Matter Global Network, and AUC Shut It Down say that the rapper is still "unjustly detained by the Trump Administration’s Immigrations and Customs Enforcement as they continue to target Black immigrants."

Joseph-Abraham's legal team compared the United Kingdom national to millions of so-called DREAMers, brought to this country as children whose immigration status expired through no fault of their own.
