There was a lot of head scratching going on when 21 Savage posted an Instagram photo of the Ferrari Drake gave him for his 24th birthday.
On the surface it seemed odd given that 21 and Meek Mill are homies. Also, Drake has only collaborated with the 24-year old rapper once, on the newly released song "Sneakin."
Maybe Drake is trying to sign 21 to his OVO Sound imprint?
TMZ recently caught up with 21 outside of a Los Angeles studio to get the scoop. He wasn't very forthcoming, but here's how the conversation went.
TMZ: Is this the ride Drake gave you? How do you like it, bro?
21 Savage: Who the hell you with? TMZ or something?
TMZ: Yeah, TMZ ... how do you like the ride?
21: It's cool
TMZ: A lot of fans wanna know, why would Drake give you such a baller gift?
21: You gotta ask him that
TMZ: Does this mean you might sign with his label?
21: Ask Drake
TMZ: Do you wanna sign with his label?
21: Ask Drake
TMZ: I know you collaborated with both him and Meek Mill. You think you can bring them together?
21: Them both my homies
Drake signing 21 Savage would be a major coupe. We'll keep our eye on it to see if there's anything there.
