Iron Mike Tyson really seems to be in good spirits these days. The former heavyweight boxing champion and his wife just welcomed a baby into the world a couple of weeks ago, and he's landed a couple of high profile movie gigs.

In this interview with with DaTruthBoxing, Mike talks about what he's been up to, and what his plans are for 2011.

"I just finished filming Hangover 2, it was awesome. God willing we're going to go to New York to start shooting Men In Black 3," Mike said.

Iron Mike said he's finally learned to relax and not carry a chip on his shoulder.

"It's just so ironic my life is going in this direction. At one time if someone made fun of me I took myself too seriously. But life's too short, you have to enjoy life and be happy." he said

Mike talked about the highlight of his career. Becoming the youngest fighter at age-20 to win the heavyweight championship of the world. His only regret was that his mentor Cus D'Amato wasn't around to see it. He even said he might become a trainer himself.

It's no secret that the heavyweight division is in dismal shape these days, Tyson has a theory on why that is the case.

"It's horrible, not because the fighters are bad, there's nobody that's a personality that enjoy the people that are not the boxing fans. We're losing fans who are avid boxing fans. We need some excitement, we need something like MMA. When you watch a fight, after it's over in a professional boxing match, it's dead," Tyson said. "But when you go to MMA, when the bout is over intermission is a party! Intermission is off the hook, I think I'm in the club!. The [boxing} fighters are good, but we need that entertainment."

On the subject of a potential Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr fight, Mike weighed in on that was well.

"That would be a beautiful fight to watch. If Floyd wants to win this fight he has to be at his best. Can Floyd win this fight? Yes he can win this fight, but he has to be on his [A] game consistently moving with his head and his counter punching."
