New Year's Eve equals big money in Las Vegas if you're an A-list celebrity willing to spend a few hours hosting a party. One such celebrity is Kim Kardashian, who is reportedly being paid $600,000 for a series of appearances at Tao nightclub inside the Venetian hotel.
Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas will earn $100,000 to play the new 1Oak at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.
"The average New Year’s Eve fee for relevant talent is $100,000,” Jack Colton, a Las Vegas nightlife expert told TheWrap. “An A-List celebrity moves up to $250,000, and for a major grab can go as high as $1 million. Your Lady Gaga's and Jay-Zs would be considered major grabs.”
Tao Group partner Jason Strauss told Vegasinc.com that having Kardashian at the club almost assures it will draw a large crowd.
“Kim Kardashian has always been a great host for us in the past,” he said. “The crowd goes wild the second she gets in the vicinity of the club, and she is always gracious with her fans, taking photos and going out of her way to greet them. She is on television almost every day and has nearly 12 million followers on Twitter, which creates an incredible fan base.”
For party goers interested in ringing in the new year with the reality star tickets range from $175 to $225.
