50 Cent and Tech N9ne stopped by Kansas City radio station Hot 103 Jamz on Tuesday (March 18) to kick it with Bryan B. Shynin on The Playmaker Show.
The two hip hop titans discussed Tech's independent game blueprint and wanting to collaborate on a big record.
50 also talked about Animal Ambition, three new TV shows he's executive producing for Starz ("Power"), HBO ("It Ain't All That") and Fox (animated) and why leaving Interscope was the right thing to do.
"The whole building was leaning in the wrong direction for me," 50 said. "Interscope was kind of turning into Beats By Dre records. And because I invested in SMS Audio and had a different priority they were afraid to do a lot of things. I'm not sure if all of it was [Jimmy Iovine's] intention, but the staff was scared straight. There was only one marching order for them when they left for us to shoot the music video with me, Eminem and Adam Levine, My Life. Was to make sure my headsets weren't actually in the video."
