MSNBC's Chris Mathews Says Of Obama "I Forgot He Was Black"

Chris Mathews was commenting on the President's State Of The Union Address. He said "for about an hour there I forgot he was black"

This was a real wtf was he thinking moment. Do you think he was being racist or simply trying to compliment the President and got his words twisted up?
